Q: I’ve just purchased Recabinet, what do I do now?

Q: I clicked the link to download my Recabinet keyfile and got a bunch of crazy gremlin characters. What format is the keyfile and how do I open it?
A: Your keyfile is encrypted, so it will look pretty wild in a text editor or web browser. Right click the link to the file and save to disk, then import it into the Recabinet plugin as per the instructions in the Recabinet manual.

Q: I can’t find Recabinet in my plugins list after installing. Why not?
A: If you’re running Windows, check and make sure the install path is the folder where your DAW looks for plugins (on Mac, plugin install paths are centralized, so you don’t need to worry about it.) Make sure you’ve installed the correct version of Recabinet for your DAW’s bit mode. Many DAWs still run in 32 bit mode (even if your OS is 64 bit), so the 64 bit version of Recabinet will not work in those hosts. If you’re not sure, check your DAW manufacturer’s website. VST users note: in VST hosts, Recabinet will often show up inside a submenu entitled “Kazrog LLC” in your plugins menu.

A: Recabinet is running in demo mode. In demo mode, Recabinet produces silence every few seconds as a restriction. Purchasing Recabinet and importing your license key will remove this restriction.

A: You’re free to use your existing keyfile on any computer you own. If you’ve lost your keyfile, you can download it again from the Customer Login Area.

A: Download your keyfile using your online machine, and transfer the keyfile to your studio machine with a USB stick or other removable media. Import the keyfile into Recabinet as per the instructions in the Recabinet manual

Q: Recabinet is producing crazy/mangled audio. How do I fix this?
A: Install Recabinet 3.1 or higher. In earlier versions, there was a bug affecting samples/buffer settings other than powers of 2, and has been fixed with the new audio engine in 3.1.

A: Software that has been purchased online from Kazrog LLC is (1) provided with free email support and (2) refundable within 14 days of purchase if you are not completely satisfied. Upon refund, your license key will be revoked and you agree to uninstall any copies of our software from your system(s). To request a refund, email us with your receipt number included in the subject line of your email.
