Version History
Recabinet 3.5.1 Mac Bug Fix – March 23, 2013
Mac
- Fixed a bug where Recabinet AU plugin would not process audio in Logic Pro 9 64 bit.
Recabinet 3.5.0 – March 21, 2013
General
- Added third party IR import feature
- Added stereo panning feature
- Fixed a bug where some DAW hosts could experience CPU spikes and/or noise bursts
- Plugin has been renamed to “Recabinet” rather than “Recabinet 3.1″ or “Recabinet 3.” This way, the plugin won’t need to be renamed again.
- Fixed various minor issues with the installers
Mac
- Mac version is now compiled as a Universal Binary rather than separate 32/64 bit versions
Known Issues
- An audio dropout issue was discovered in Logic Pro 9.1.8 64 bit in Mac OS X 10.8.3. We recommend that Logic users update to Recabinet 3.5.1, which fixes the problem.
- Hosts that support both VST and AU format plugins (Reaper, Presonus Studio One) will not work properly with the AU version of Recabinet. It is recommended that you use the VST version of Recabinet with these hosts for full compatibility.
- Native preset management in some DAWs may not properly refresh the state of the plugin in real-time when used with third party IRs. Closing and re-opening your session will refresh the state properly. Until this is addressed, we recommend using Recabinet’s built-in preset manager rather than the preset management in your host for on-the-fly preset switching when using third party IRs in Recabinet.
- Navigating the third party IR browser with the keyboard works, but will not load IRs until they are clicked on. For this reason, mouse browsing is recommended at this time.

- All knobs in the plugin interface can be double-clicked to reset to their default positions.
Pro Tools

- This patch is -6dB quieter than Recabinet 3.0.3 and lower.
- If your song was mixed with Recabinet 3.0.4 (initial release version), simply lower your track volumes by -6dB on any track where Recabinet 3 is used after you install this update.
- If your song was mixed with Recabinet 3.0.3 or lower, simply raise your track volumes by +6dB on any track where Recabinet 3 is used after you install this update.

Mac
- Fixed garbled audio artifacts that some Mac users were experiencing.
Windows
- Added Windows RTAS version
Known Issues
- Recabinet 3.0.2 fails validation in Logic 9.1.3 in Mac OS 10.5.8. It is recommended that users simply check the box next to Recabinet 3 in the Audio Units Manager in Logic to force the plugin to load. Logic itself has no problems running the plugin, the issue only affects auvaltool in this specific software/OS combination.
- Logic 9 can be unresponsive to Recabinet’s cabinet/mic selection menus, especially during playback. Use the increment/decrement buttons if the menus are failing to operate reliably.
Recabinet 3.0.1 – February 3, 2011
General
- Portable keyfile system implemented – keyfiles are now cross-platform and usable on multiple machines
- User Interface responsiveness greatly improved, added increment/decrement buttons to cabinet/mic selections
- After authorization, a tooltip remnant was left behind in the top right corner of the plugin prompting the user to import their license key. This has been changed to show a message letting the user know the plugin has been authorized successfully.
- Cubase 5.x inserts and mono/stereo plugin mixtures with Recabinet 3.0.0 caused crashes in certain cases. The source of the problem has been identified and eliminated.
Mac
- Fixed AU Validation and CPU errors in Logic 9.1.3 and Mac OS 10.6.6
- Fixed performance issues with stereo tracks in Logic 9.1.3
- Fixed plugin authorization crashes in Pro Tools 9.0.1
Windows
- CPU efficiency has been optimized massively, the Windows version is now as efficient as the Mac version
- Installer has been updated to find proper installation locations on more configurations. It’s impossible to detect every possible configuration or to anticipate personal preferences, however, so please carefully check the installation path during installation, especially if you have multiple DAWs installed.
Known Issues
- Recabinet 3.0.1 fails validation in Logic 9.1.3 in Mac OS 10.5.8.
- Digital Performer 6 users have reported that the plugin may forget user settings. It is unknown at this time if the issue affects later versions of Digital Performer.
Recabinet 3.0.0 – January 18, 2011
- Initial release.
